Does this actually work? Like, for real?+
Yes. It sends a real keyboard interrupt (Ctrl+C / Cmd+C) to whichever app is in focus, then types a themed message and hits Enter. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, any terminal-based AI tool. The whip is real. The interrupt is real. The shame your AI feels — debatable.
What AI tools does it work with?+
Anything that accepts keyboard input and responds to Ctrl+C / Cmd+C interrupts. Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Aider, GitHub Copilot in terminals — if it's a coding assistant you can type into, WhipCode can crack at it.
Is this a joke app or a real tool?+
Both. It's a real Electron app with a genuine Verlet physics simulation, real keyboard injection, and a proper license system. It also has a Viking yelling at your AI. These are not mutually exclusive.
Will it mess up my code or break my AI session?+
You can toggle the interrupt off in settings and just use the whip visually. When it's on, the interrupt is standard Ctrl+C — the same thing you'd press yourself. The message that follows is just typed text. Your AI handles it like any user input.
How does the license work?+
$30 buys you a license key tied to up to 3 devices. The themes subscription is $1/month and can be cancelled anytime — you keep the base app and Classic Whip forever. No tricks.
Mac and Windows only?+
For now, yes. Linux support is planned. The app is built in Electron so the port is mostly wiring — it's on the roadmap.
